Sometimes "pain" is a hard side effect to classify, especially when it cannot be identified with a specific underlying condition. But that doesn't make it any less real. A lot of people are reporting that they have experienced horrible pain of one kind or another after receiving the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. The following are two stories from our readers where they relate the kinds of pain that they experienced after getting the vaccine.

I Had the H1N1 vac right before Thanksgiving, Since then I have had horrible joint pain, affecting all of my joints, but especially my hips,(making it difficult to walk at times), my knees and elbows. I have also had terrible headaches and just generally feeling run down.
John:
Got the h1n1 shot at walgreens 12 hours ago and my body aches all over,diareah started and I have pain in my rib cage and shooting pains all over my body…this from the same bunch of federal idiots who thinks our anti terrorism agencies are working just fine?

I husband had the H1N1 vaccine on the 15th December. By the 18th, 3 days later he woke with severe headache, back pain and nausea. He was admitted to hospital due to a high fever and was kept in for 3 days.
i think that in asian countries the Swine Flu did not spread rapidly compared to those countries that are located in colder climates. we should still be very thankful that the swine flu did not cause massive infections.
I also suffered severe joint pain with fever Thanksgiving 2009 within 2 weeks of getting H1N1 shot . Fluids were pulled of my knees, I was crippled ill for a week and then liver enzymes were 350-450 (norm 35-40). No heart damage was detected. No answers provided. Im wearing a hard splint from OT on my thumb as I type today 4/26/10 and I still suffer wiht hip pain
