Our son was 19 years old, when he passed away on Nov. 20, 2009, 32 days after receiving the H1N1 vaccine, Flumist. He was an active, healthy college student and our only child. The autopsy concluded that he died from Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart caused by a recent viral infection. The medical examiner said it would have been caused by the flu he had in Oct. I reminded her that he did not have the flu, he had the H1N1 vaccine, and her response was that she "misunderstood". She had been told several times that he had the vaccine, the first being the day after he died and every week for three months. Every time her response was, "It couldn't be the vaccine." When she told us that it was Myocarditis, I asked if they could test for the H1N1 vaccine and she told me no, it had been too long.

I received my flu shot Wednesday Oct. 27, 2011 and that even my mouth broke out in blisters. The next day I was running a fever and coughing and problem breathing. Feels the the flu to me, could have saved my ins. company some money.

My daughter had an H1N1 flu shot last Sepember, 2010. Around the end of October, she began losing handfuls of hair. To this date, she has no hair anywhere - she's lost it all. She aches in her joints as well. After countless bloodwork and many Drs, there is still no diagnosis. She will only be 24 years old in October, 2011. This has been the most frustrating thing we've ever gone thru. No one will admit it was the shot, but it's just too much of a coincidence; especially knowing there is another girl in our area that has had the same thing happen - and the only thing she and my daughter have in common is that shot.

I got my Flu Shot on 12/23/10 and I noticed the nurse gave me shot too high and it hurt really bad then she had a problem pulling it out an when she did I heard a sound as if something popped then later on when I went home, I had to stay in bed for the rest of the day & night since my arm and shoulder was hurting really badly. I figured it would go away the next day, but hurt the same way the following day. As days passed by the pain stayed, but some day's the pain would be less and then the pain would come back full force.

It is now 1/16/11, and the pain is really bad today, I can barely move my arm without the arm jerking with aching & pinching feeling. The pain is less somedays and somedays it's the worst like today. I'm sick of this pain, and I don't really know if the Combination Flu Shot caused this or the fact that the nurse had poor training in administering the needle into the left arm.

Next week, I'm going back there to file a complaint against that nurse, and I heard the MRI usually shows the damage of the Flu Shot, so that's what I will ask for from the Doctor. I also heard that a really good Massage Therapist can maybe make the arm an shoulder pain better, but not sure if the real cause will go away from arm.

I received the flu shot for the first time ever in my life this year. I have never gotten the flu before and I am in my 59's. We were forced to get it this year at work and I was very unhappy. I had muscle aches within 2 days and diahrea within 5 days then a cold and cough there after that worsens daily. I am agree that we have to put something like that in our healthy bodies and I am angry that we should have to wear a mask if we are not ill. If I were sick I would be happy to wear one but not if I am well and have never had the flu.

I got the H1N1 for the first time to protect my son as im a waitress around a lot of people who travel. After the shot I had soreness around the shot, but went away 8 days later only to return in my upper arm with a vengence it will not go away burning and aches so bad I cannot sleep. Only time it gets relief is when I use it a lot then after it comes back. By the time I use it so much to make the pain go away im am so tired.
When will it go away 3 weeks of pain now.
I wished I never got the shot, my husband told me about the shots in the 70's but I thought he was just over reacting. He is 45 and never had a flu shot in his life.

I also work in health care and was pressured to get the H1N1 but I refused, I thought it was put out way too fast to feel comfortable with it and I did not get anyone in my family vaccinated either. I felt really guilty at first but now after reading all of these stories I am glad I held firm and did not do it. I get the regular flu shot every year and have never had any problems but there was just something about this one that made me nervous.

On Nov 10 2009 I got a H1N1 Swine Flu Shot. 3-5 days later my left upper arm hurt down from the injection point (which I thought was high near the shoulder). A number of days later, the ache moved to the other arm. It has now been 6 months, and I have gone through a real ordeal including muscle aches, pains (some severe in arms), twitchings, spasms, shooting pains, all over muscle achiness, moving around of aches (some have stop hurting and moved to another muscle), limited mobility in left arm, pain at night in muscles making it impossible to sleep, fear from pain anxiety to go to sleep at time. I am now at a point where I have been sleeping with an arm sling so I don't "over move" my left arm which can put me into very painfu, lingering l convolsive movements. I have to watch every movement I make with my left arm so I don't cause it resistence. I can't brush my hair on the right side, difficulty washing/drying, lifting, fast moves= pain for left arm, unable to put on/off tops with buttoned fronts, unable to wear pull on tops--left feeling like a partial invalid. Doctor doesn't believe its due to the shot; he can't tell me what causes it. He thinks it's due to over exercise (not true). He's given me steriods (taken 3x now-pain is still not gone in left arm), narcotics, muscle relaxers (haven't used yet). Tylonol & Codiene doesn't work well at all--feel ache through Codiene. Tylonol doesn't work well by itself even 650mg. Blood tests come out normal. I feel at a loss (angry, frustrated, scared)for an explanation of what is going on. How can something be treated without a name on it? The doctor can't seem to help. I am afraid something bad has happened to my right upper arm muscle for this to be going on this long. I've read blogs of folks in my predicament. Are we nothing but statistics with no recourse or help??

In Canada, got the shot end of Oct. Six months later and I still have numbness/tingling in my hands and face all of the time, those are what I consider my good days though. A bad week looks like this: Sore everywhere, extreme fatigue, brain fog, extreme numbness in hands, arms, feet, legs, face and head, muscle exhaustion and burning, muscle tightenings on their own.
My symptoms started within a week of the shot, otherwise symptom free before that. I did experience shortness of breath and anxiety attacks in the beginning, out of no where. Weird stuff, I regret this but I remain positive that I will fully recover.

I got the h1n1 vaccine on January 4,2010. That night I started having severe pain in my legs. Whole muscle groups would contract painfully and burn too. Sometimes the pain is a burning pain and other times it is a strong dull pain. I have missed days of work and nights of sleep because of it. I have tried to take Potassium and vitamin supplements to see if that would help but the pain is still present.I warned all my family and friends about the shot to get educated about it first to decide if they really want to risk it.
